Looking for some Easter Fun for your little ones?  Check out these classic events and some other opportunities to celebrate the season.

Easter Fun at Maymont

Saturday, March 31st
Maymont Carriage House Lawn
10am-3pm
Free admission, but many activities require a fee.  

Enjoy one of Richmond’s favorite Easter traditions with the Easter Bunny, crafts, games, live entertainment and more! Tickets required for most activities.  Food will be available for purchase. Most activities are suitable for ages 4 to 10.

Ticketed Activities 

Tickets are $2 each and can be exchanged to enjoy crafts, inflatables, games, experiences, and more! One ticket per participant per activity. For each ticket you redeem, you will receive one Easter egg. Eggs may contain an “eggstra” prize. (Space is limited)

A visit with Peter Rabbit at Lewis Ginter

Saturday, March 31st & Sunday, April 1st
Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens
1pm-4pm
Regular Garden admission

A Richmond favorite for many years!  Come meet Peter Rabbit as he poses for photographs on Saturday and Sunday from 1-4pm.

There will be many activities in the Children’s Garden, including drawing with sidewalk chalk, hula hooping, and making garden hats out of materials such as bags and ribbons. Families can also borrow a basket from the Story Tree —  inside the basket is a book, a blanket to spread out on and an activity related to the book.

Food is available for purchase in the Garden Cafe.

 

Easter on Parade

Monument Avenue between Allen and Davis Avenues

1pm-5pm on Easter Sunday, April 1st
Free admission

Easter on Parade, the beloved Richmond tradition that showcases attendees “parading” up and down scenic Monument Avenue.  There will be music, arts, crafts, children’s activities, food, balloon artistry, and a petting zoo. Don’t miss the people and pet watching – a favorite of adults!   A highlight of the is the ever-popular Pet Bonnet and People Bonnet Showcases.

 

Petting Farm

Short Pump Mall Main Plaza
Saturday, March 31st- Sunday April 8th  

Visit with baby bunnies, chicks, ducks, lambs, and more in Short Pump Mall’s Main Plaza.  The event is held Saturday, March 31st- Sunday April 8th, 11am-6pm.    For more information, please call 804-360-1700. A $1 suggested donation per person is requested. All proceeds will go to the Maymont Foundation.  Weather permitting and free.

 

Bunny Photos

Enjoy a visit with the Easter Bunny at your local mall and get a photo with the bunny.  Bunnies are at the Short Pump MallRegency Square, and Chesterfield Towne Center.
